PROGRAM NOTES
SXTG >;-) is named, impishly, after “sexting” - the practice of sending naughty text messages. Now somewhat quaint, sexting was a hot-button issue in the early days of smartphones. It was, for a time, the latest in the never-ending string of teenage behaviors which alarm and/or enrage adults. This trio attempts to convey the sly playfulness with which one might approach such an activity, along with hints of (disproportionately frenetic) societal reactions.
